What is a Quiet Time?
What is a quiet time?
A quiet time is a private, one-one-one time with God that you (preferably) do first thing in the morning. During that time, you pray, read your Bible, meditate on what you read, and listen to the voice of God.
You get to know someone by spending time with them and it’s no different with God. We want to help you develop a consistent quiet time so you can have an intimate relationship with God. God wants to spend time with you!

How to Have a Quiet Time with God:
1. Have a consistent time; ideally in the morning.
2. Before you begin, prepare your heart to hear the voice of God.
3. Read the Bible, instead of a devotional.
4. After you discover the meaning of a scripture passage, meditate on it.

To help you get started, we’ve chosen a very simple Bible reading plan for the book of Matthew, the first book of the New Testament. You will read a short Bible passage 5 days each week, for a total of 40 days. There will also be a Meditation and Memory verse for each week.
We encourage you to join our Quiet Time Facebook group, where we will discuss our Bible readings and share what we’re learning in our quiet time. It’s a great way to learn from others and have accountability as you develop a quiet time with God! This Bible reading plan begins on April 20, 2020, but you can join at any time. If you have any questions, please contact us. We’re excited to grow in God with you!
